Why am I subject to the laws of the federal government?

I never signed any contract with the government. What gives them the arbitrary right to impose their will on me?

Public Comments

  1. I second that!
  2. You are a citizen. As such, you enjoy many rights and privileges. The government makes and maintains roads that you can use (most interstate roads are paid for by Federal Government). The military protects you. The coast guard will fish your sorry as$ out of the ocean if you get in an accident. Social security and medicaid will (hopefully) give you benefits in your old age. In return, you can't break the federal laws. Don't like the deal? Get the hell out.
  3. Because you live in their borders that they secure, police, and protect! If that is a problem for you, go somewhere else! I am sure you'll have more problems finding what you want elsewhere, though.
  4. You don't have to live by their laws. Feel free to migrate to what ever country you feel comfortable with.
  5. Because you pay the taxes they use to protect you from people that wish to do you harm. If you don't like that I suggest you try Africa or some parts of South America.
  6. Break them all then. See where that gets you.
  7. Citizens are deemed to follow orders unles proben inoprative gy the gibernment.
  8. Over a quarter of a million Confederate Americans died in the Civil War asking that same question. The Federal Government won, sorry. If you don't like it, leave and go to Iraq where there is no law. You may not last long in a lawless environment however.
  9. No one is forcing you to be a citizen of this country. You are free to leave. This government has imposed laws for all its citizens to live by. If you disagree, you have the freedom to go to whatever other country will accept you.
  10. I suppose we make a choice of how we want to live and the country we live in represents how we wish to be governed. Look at the Islamic countries and the recent sentencing of a young lady with 100 lashes for allowing herself to have sex. She was gang rapped and she's the one being punished. Na I'm happy to be governed the way we are!
  11. The government operates with the consent of the People. These are the same people referred to in a famous document that begins "We, the People of the United States". Reading that document will tell you the reasons why our government was established. The People have said there will be rules and the government has defined those rules. Someone said you are free to leave. That is true. You are also free to stay and try to change the rules. You are also free to ignore the rules and do whatever you want whenever you want, just as long as you are willing to accept the consequences.
  12. You are subject to the laws of the federal government because any civilized society needs a legal system. Without laws we have anarchy, and your signature is not required to comply with those laws. We live in a representative democracy where the people give the federal government their authority, and there is nothing "arbitrary" about it.
  13. Bad %^# tough guy. Move or go to prison and see how you like how you get treated then. Did you throw these tantrums with your mummy and daddy when they asked you to do even the simplest of things.? Ingrate. Immature foolish child. A spanking is what you really need.
  14. I guess you'd prefer anarchy to law and order ? Laws are made to present order rather than chaos. I concur with all of the others who said leave if you don't like it. But I would add for you to not come crying back when you don't find it better elsewhere. BTW, the US armed forces never signed an agreement to keep you personally safe, but they do it...... :-o
  15. There is a legal concept of birthright. It offers you all the country has to offer by virtue of you having been born in the country. The offering includes rights and responsilbities. The laws made by the 'federal government' are actually made by your chosen representatives. They are made for the welfare and betterment of all citizens. You absolutely don't have to follow the laws. But, you can't expect to enjoy your right to freedom if you don't accept the responsibility of your citizenship.
  16. Get your head out of your smelly a*s for five minutes and try to imagine what kind of country you'd be living in if >everyone< decided for themselves what laws they'd obey and which laws they wouldn't obey. You sound like one of those morons driving around with a bumper sticker that says, "If it don't feel good, don't do it." Grow up!
  17. They have guns, cops, courts, and nuclear weapons. You don't.
  18. I have observed your avatar and personally I think you're full of fiction. You undoubtedly have a state birth certificate that was sold to the U.S. Department of Commerce for hypothecation. This is known as a trust instrument, a document of ownership. You also have a Socialist Security # that number's you as a beneficiary of the SS trust. You are using and presenting both instruments to receive hire and benefits by corporate employers who have also been subdued by the federal government. Therefore, you, Mannza, are hooked in to the federal government. No, you didn't have a choice on the b.c. because your parents believed and trusted-in the government of men instead of the government of YHWH. And at the same time, or some years later, your parents went down to the nearby SS office and applied for, by contract (SS-5 Form), and got you numbered into the SS trust. Both the b.c. and SSN are "voluntary" trust indenture binders. No one is required by any law (Biblical, constitutional or statutory) to have a number or birth certificate offered by the U.S. government. But since you are a non-believer, what does that really matter? For those who refuse to be ruled by Yahshua the Messiah (J-sus Chr-st) directly, they will be ruled by Benedict XVI, and by divine mandate: "Like as ye have forsaken me and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours." (Jeremiah 5:19) As you can see from all the answerers above, you're not alone.
