Whats your view on the governments bid to banning airsoft guns?

my view is that it is totally stupied, because in america they have clubs dedicated to the sport! and they airsoft guns are very rarley used in crime! some ploice say what is the point ion having a airsoft gun, its not really, n that for me is procisly why i braught one because it is not realy! thais means i can have fun with my mates and no one gets seriously hurt! its stupied, because you can still by sword, kives and other dangerous weapons!!! but they are thinking of restricting or even banning airsoft guns, what is the point! i could understand if you had to get a licence for one lol but thats just another way for the government to controll and get more money! in closing i belive that it would be a stupied idea to ban the airsoft guns because it would just go underground like everything else before it, i mean if it remains legall atleast the government and police force have a better chace of controlling theme!

1. Even though I used to have a few, now that I'm 18 and not 12, I realize how pointless they are. Airsoft being a sport is nonsense, theres no way to tell whether or not someones been hit, they can deny it and that leaves you nowhere. Want a game of strategy that's similar? Play paintball. Airsoft guns are pointless and could cause all kinds of injury so I wouldn't mind it if they banned them. Oh and stay in school, your spelling is atrocious.
2. Well, airsoft guns are teaching kids it ok to shoot other people. An 8 year old can be used to picking up an airsoft gun, and shooting people, and then get a real gun and do the same. It happened in Michigan. Also, people paint the orange tips black and pretend that their real guns. There have been threats to other people when really they were just holding an airsoft gun. I say way to go to the governments who are banning them.
3. "Airsoft guns used rarely in crime"? How did this stat come about? Airsoft guns are used constantly, in lieu of a real pistol. Victims don't know they're being used in a robbery. It is going to get some jack ass criminal killed. I know if somebody pulled one me, they'd be out before they explained it was an Airsoft.
4. I don't have a problem with the Airsoft guns, we use them to train entry teams, etc. I think everyone just needs to realize that it is a REAL gun in a sense. They certainly LOOK real and get absolutely get you shot if you brandish it at someone. I don't think they should be banned any more than a BB gun should, but folks need to take them seriously and treat them like real guns!!
