Can someone walk me through the process of buying something on ebay?

I want to buy something and I have a paypal account set up. If I bid and win on this item, what exactly happens? How do I contact the seller and how do they get a hold of my paypal, etc? I guess I'm just really scared that I'll screw it up.

1. depends on whether you get scammed or not. which scenario do you need details about?
2. Ebay helps to follow you through all of the steps. Just bid. Then once you win, in the "My Ebay" section it will have a "Pay for this item" button if you won it. Make sure that the seller accepts paypal before you bid. Also, if you would need to contact the seller, you can do so by clicking the "Contact Seller" button. Otherwise, EBay helps you out the whole way. You have to watch out for spoof e-mails. If an e-mail is suspicious, just send it to spoof@ebay.com and they should e-mail you back within a few hours telling you if it is fake or real. Hope that helps you out.
3. if you win it will ask you how do you want to pay for it. on the bottom you will see paypal click on it then hit continue. it will take you to the paypal login page and type in your username and password. it will confirm your transaction and then you are done! hope this helps. Plus, ebay will walk you to it step by step. NO sweat!
4. If you have a Paypal account, you're set....make sure there are funds in it or it is set up to pay by credit card or echeck.... When you win, on the auction page, at the top will be a "pay now" button. Click on it....it will route you to Paypal....log in, hit "pay now" and ta - da....that's it.... but make sure not to buy anything starting the 18th.....there is a boycott going on and you don't want your user name attached to any auction during that time.....kinda like crossing a picket line...
