Where are some places you can bid on contracts?
My best friend dad just started a cleaning business and he stuck on the amount of clients he has and would like more, how does he go about that whole process.

- He needs to do some research in order to find the potential clients for his business. Office buildings have owners, rental managers, and property management companies that hire people to clean. Individual offices, and businesses have someone authorized to hire cleaning people. Once he has a list of potential clients, he has to contact these decision makers and ask when their current cleaning contract runs out. Before the current cleaning contract expires, he should submit his bid for consideration. He should visit many of these offices personally. After his market research is finished, he may decide it's a good idea to specialize. There may be a need in your area for a specific type of cleaning. Things that are touched by many people need to be washed and sanitized regularly. Perhaps, a large office with a current cleaning contract might decide to hire someone just to sanitize the telephones, and computer keyboards. Maybe there are some things which need to be regularly cleaned in a specific way with special equipment. He could specialize in that way. Large warehouses, and manufacturing companies may need someone to clean their windows, and outside of their property. Everywhere he goes he should be on the look-out for dirty buildings, and contact the manager, or owner with a proposal. Every strip plaza has 10-20 stores that are potential clients. Even large grocery stores may hire someone to clean their front walkway & entranceway, removing gum and all debris. Are their shopping carts dirty? Maybe he could wash and rinse their shopping carts, making sure the handles and child seats are sanitized. Does he clean windows? In my area, I have seen window cleaning people walking down the street from business to business asking if they can wash the front window for $25. They easily clean 20 storefront windows per day. Car dealers will hired someone to wash the cars on the lot on a regular basis. Hospitals need constant cleaning. He could limit his work to just carpeting, and business entrance door mats if he wanted to, and just submit a bid for that kind of cleaning. Once he is hired, he should ask the owner if they have any other work for him. He may be asked to clean their house, or another business they own.
