How fast does ebay process its "automatic" bids?
For example, say someone has posted a highest bid of $50 but the current high bid for the item is still sitting at $40 because no one else has bid any higher. If I come along with only 30 seconds remaining in the auction and bid $45, will I win or will ebay quickly calculate that the $50 bid should get it?

- It does it instantly, you can't beat it except by out bidding the person who put in the automatic bid or putting one in yourself, you probably can't respond fast enough to see the result. If someone is willing to pay more than you, the bid process will continue.
