hello everyone, does anyone know if federal contractors are required to pay taxes like all regular employees??

Public Comments

  1. Yes. There is no break just because the customer is the federal government.
  2. Yes, definitely - working for the feds doesn't change anything. A contractor pays both the employer and employee halves of social security, and usually has to make quarterly estimated payments. That's because they're a contractor, and has nothing to do with whether they work for the feds or someone else.
