Nine day laborers are expected to file a federal lawsuit today challenging the legality of a sting operation in Danbury, Conn., last year that led to their arrest on immigration charges. Those plaintiffs, and a tenth man whose traffic stop for a noisy muffler resulted in his deportation to Ecuador, contend that their arrests were illegal and part of a campaign based on racial profiling. They also say that the city of Danbury, its mayor, Mark D. Boughton, and its police chief acted to enforce federal immigration law without authority. At a time when towns across the country are wrestling with how to deal with illegal immigrant residents, and when day laborers are often a flash point of conflict, the lawsuit is the latest in a series of legal challenges to local crackdowns. According to the complaint, on Sept. 19, 2006, a Danbury police officer posing as a contractor drove an unmarked van belonging to the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency to a park in downtown Danbury where day laborers, many from Ecuador, gather. I simply say that if they have no right to be here, they have no right to sue, and we should not even entertain that suit, for it is invalid. Our rights are for citizens. If you are here illegally, you have one right...to get thrown the he!! out!
In my opinion, (and we all know about those - so don't get your panties in a wad - take it with a grain of salt), illegal aliens do not have rights accorded by our constitution. Our constitution is written for CITIZENS of this country. Illegal aliens are not citizens! Therefore, they shouldn't even be able to file a lawsuit. Deport them and be done with them.
My opinion is that this is a lot of crap and that if our justice system is allowing this then they should be shipped off to Ecuador. Until these people have a complaint as a legal American citizen.. take your troubles home with you. They should have been thrown in jail for breaking the law.. and kept there.. this is getting ridiculous!

Wow, what a long question! I believe that ILLEGAL aliens should be slowly, but surely, deported back to their home nations. That's where they are from - that is where they 'belong'. Until they apply for, and receive, legal immigration permission. We can't have people living here, and many times getting into traffic accidents and injuring our citizens or committing crimes - especially when they're NOT even SUPPOSED to be within our borders. By the way, there are aliens here in the U.S. from many countries. It's not just Mexico. I'm against all ILLEGAL aliens. It's the rule of law. We can't have a stable, respectable Nation if we don't respect ourselves and the laws that we enact for our own life & security. I don't know what LAW these 9 would stand on for their suit, either.
LaRaza and ACLU seem to have a endless supply of money and time, ( LaRaza is funded with tax payers dollars to the tune of millions of dollars) to champion the rights of the illegals who seem to break our laws with immunity.
Illegal Aliens have no right to be here. They should not be granted any rights, except the right to a bus ride back to their own country!

"noisy muffler". I don't care. Get 'em on having a windshield, that's too dirty to see out of, seat-belt violation, faulty windshield wiper, headlight out of alignment. Just get 'em and send them packing!
This shows how Latin American countries are exporting things they wish to get rid of--undesirable people. As long as Hillary, Richardson, Obama and McCain champion the plight of the illegals, our courts will serve as their attack zone. Until the needs of AMERICAN CITIZENS come first, this country has no homeland security. Problem is, taxpayers fund the government AND the court system. Time for tax dollars well spent! Solution is simple \/
Racial profiling? I have never heard of Illegals being a race before....things that make you go hmmmmm....I think they can beat that lawsuit...
