Federal Contractors?
I'm doing some research on federal contractors. If a Federal contract is awarded to a private company is that contract & it's employees held to Federal Standards of the LAW? In other words if you whistleblow on a private federal contractor are you protected under the law even though it's a private entity? Do you know of any court findings that have ruled this? It is a Job Corps Contractor awarded by the Department of Labor Job Corps Division. There was gross waste of funds, services etc... and the private contractor was reported. Can you hold this company to whistle blowing laws?

- It depends on the specific law. Many laws apply only to federal employees, others apply to contractors as well, and still others apply to all companies. Whistleblowing is governed by a wide variety of federal laws covering different agencies, so you need to be more specific as to which agency awarded the contract.
- GENERALLY SPEAKING, IF -IF federal funds are involved, in any way, then the federal whistleblowers laws do come into effect !!! Best you check with the General Services Authority, AND THE U.S. DEPT. OF JUSTICE !!! The company will try to black-ball you from your profession !!!!!!!! GOOOOD LUUUUCK !!! Uncle Wil
