What is the most efficient way to research becoming a subcontractor to major federal contractors?

As a former procurment analyst for Dept. of Navy I dealt with many major Dept. of Defense contractors. Unfortunately it has been sometime since I was in that arena. I have been afforded the opportunity to work with a company that is interested in becoming a subcontractor and I believe that their products would prove invaluable to a prime. Any COs out there or staff that can share your wisdom, expertise, advise or all three, please advise. Know you are bound by Conflict of Interest, etc., so am only asking hypothetically where to begin. Thanks, Former Procurment Analyst

  1. One source you can check is Onvia. < www.onvia.com > It has transformed itself into a gov-to-business opportunity site, listing contract bids from governments your company may wish to bid on. (I'm not affiliated with Onvia in any way .. just know of their service)
