How is the fiasco of the last 7 years under the Bush regime best summarized?

Just off the top of my head: using 9/11 self-servingly, Cheney's energy commissions, the Kenny-boy ties with Enron, Walter Reed Hospital conditions, firing federal prosecutors, invading the wrong country, global warming denial, selling America's ports to Arab cronies, Jeff Gannon, Jack Abramoff scandal, Abu Ghraib prisoner torture, total mismanagement of Hurricane Katrina, Harriet Miers nomination, wire taps, the Terri Schiavo fiasco, $9 billion wasted, outing Valerie Plame, the awful Patriot Act, deconstruction and willful ignorance of the Constitution, Gitmo torture, no-bid contracts, the body armor fiasco, Bin Laden still at large, gas approaching $4 a gallon, etc., etc., etc.

  1. Half of the nation is retarded. That's the only way I can explain it. If half of the nation could really vote for Bush a second time (and now those idiots deny that he ever appealed to them) then we know that the intelligent really don't vote.
  2. Cluster f*@#.
  3. summarized..... bush is a p.o.s. and the US is the worst it has been since the depression
  4. A list of things you can get away with as president and still not get impeached.
  5. The president who broke so many laws and got away with it.
  6. I would say that George Bush was a human crash test dummy that hopped on the constitution and pushed it as far as he possibly could whether it be in economics, foreign affairs, domestic policy, the bill of rights..... He's tested it all and made sure it all works i would say. Im thinking the only amendment he hasnt pushed is the amendment that limits a president to two terms. Can you imagine if we were attacked by terrorism in in January and he asks congress to allow him to stay temporary president until he feels like the country safe. Aside from testing that amendment he has completely tested the Constitution to its full capabilities and suprisingly its still standing. So that idea they came up with, worked after all.
  7. our fault... voted for president twice???...wow America's fault....
  8. The Middle of the End of American dominance throughout the world. We got about 20 more years to the end. (If Gore was president, then probably 40 more years)
  9. Woops!! Dropped the soap. That "good economy" stuff is really slippery.
  10. Oops, hey world, sorry about that. Seriously though, the most important legacy of his presidency is the unprovoked invasion and occupation of a sovereign nation, supported by a majority of public opinion, for as of yet unknown reasons (we can all speculate of course). That's just not the type of sh**t we do here. That then led to the last 5 years of attrocities, both domestic and foreign that were commited in the name of the war. I think that what occured in the Valerie Plame case and the situation at Guantanamo Bay are the two most overt and illegal events the Bush Administration has been involved in, but we'll see over time what other high crimes they've been involved in.
  11. In an encyclopedia -- as you say, "etc., etc., etc."
  12. PROSPERITY!
  13. A cabal of ultra-wealthy individuals harboring long-term resentments toward the American middle-class patched together a coalition of right-wing voters and took power, using a stooge as their front-man. Afterward, they replaced the conservative agenda with a corporate one, and set about righting all the imagined wrongs that have been committed against their ancestors, the robber barons, in an attempt to recover the money lost to federal regulation, income taxes, inheritance taxes, lawsuits, and union demands since the advent of the Progressive Era. Intent on bankrupting the country, they ran up massive debt, much of it spent on private contracts given to their companies, in the expectation that they would replace the government entirely, and end the so-called "entitlements" and other reforms, such as New Deal programs, that they perceive as socialist, or that don't contribute to their "bottom line." All the abuses you mention are the by-product of this atavistic plundering of the Treasury, or smokescreens intended to distract people from their ulterior motives while it went on. And on, and on...
  14. With a rhetorical question: Have we lost our fcuking minds?
