Actually the federal prosecuters under clinton resigned as is customary with every change of administration, Clinton actually accepted the resignations. It is highly irregular for a president to later fire after NOT accepting their resignations.

Also, Clinton fired the whole travel dept. of the white house. It is a nonbias, nonpolitical dept. that only makes travel arrangements for the precidency and entourage. Clinton fired the whole dept. (57 or so) and replaced them with friends of the campiagn and pay offs for cronies.

Sorry, I don't remember much about Clinton's administration because I was in college doing alot of drugs and spent my summers touring with the Grateful Dead.

Bush kills thousands upon thousands of completely innocent civilians in his pursuit of oil and the enrichment of the military industrial complex. Republicans say, "Kill, kill, kill..." Democrats seek to stop the war. Republicans say, "Kill, kill, kill..." And the drones drone on.

You know what is funny is that you keep on referring to they Clinton years, why do conservatives keep on doing that? What does Clinton have to do with what Bush is doing now? Live for today instead of the past. Edit: One more thing I don't know if you know this, unemployment is low under Bush, but things like Gas, food, etc, cost much, much more and people are not making what they need to be able to afford it.
Actually, when I think of hypocrisy, some conservatives automatically come to mind. For example, Bush claims to be a born-again Christian, but a lot of his actions are definitely un-Christlike. For one thing, the Ten Commandments forbid stealing and lying, yet he stole the 2000 elections and started a war that was based on a lie. Not only that, but the Bible states that it's easier to get through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter heaven. The Bible also places a lot of emphasis on committing charitable acts towards the needy. Despite this, though, Bush has made it a point to cater to his wealthy friends and screw over the poor. Another good example of conservative hypocrisy is Newt Gingrich. He criticized Clinton countless times for his personal conduct, yet Gingrich left his cancer-stricken wife to be with his mistress! Another good example is "Dr." Laura Schlessinger. She devotes her radio show to telling others how to live, but she's no paragon of virtue herself! After all, she began an affair with the man who is now her husband when he was still with his previous wife. (And let's not forget the nude pics!) Also, should I mention Pat Robertson? As we all know, he is VERY anti-choice when it comes to abortion policy here in the states. However, he has voiced approval of China's one-child policy, which is sometimes enforced through forced abortions. The list goes on!
Cons were the hypocrites during Clinton and will be again soon. (Ok, they are now as well, but theyll be the high profile ones again soon) Extremes are the problems, radicals are the problem. People who just go with the party or the ideal instead of realizing that both Clinton and Bush did some good and lots of bad are the problem. The gov't is broken. Complaining about one facet of it isnt the fix. That is like splinting the finger of a guy who just shattered all the bones in his hand. Yes, his finger is broken and needs help, but its only part of the problem and fixing it alone isnt going to do much.

His want for Constitutional amendments also don't help his case. -Again, Bush says he's a conservative, but with the PATRIOT Act, the Dept. of Homeland Security, one has to question that claim. -Conservatives whine about Clinton not catching Bin Laden and thereby preventing 9/11 possibly, they fail to note that Bush received intelligence in August of 2001 that Bin Laden was planning to hijack plane and crash them into buildings. -Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Newt Gingrich, David Vitter... 'nuff said. -Some Conservatives whined about Clinton committing perjury, but don't seem to mind Bush commuting Libby's sentence after he was found guilty of perjury. -Some Conservatives whine about the state of marriage and the family, but are actively trying to prevent some Americans from marrying and raising children in a stable environment. -Some Conservatives whine about sexual promiscuity and teen pregnancy, but only want abstinence taught in schools and want to keep kids in the dark about sex. -Some Conservatives whine about the supposed non-existence of separation of church and state, yet freak out when a Muslim gets elected into office (Keith Ellison), or when footbaths are installed in facilities of public education. -Some on the right complain about the "horrors" of national healthcare, but nary a whimper of "socailism!" is cried out whenever any other social program is discussed (Public schools, sanitation, Police, Fire Dept., Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc.).

Jeez, when did the truth disappear and was replaced with rants full of shaky facts. Clinton fired all US prosecuters at the beginning of his term, as did most other presidents including Bush. Bush fired 11 prosecuters HE appointed-his own guys-for not obeying. There waa also a little clause in the Patriot Act authorizing the President to fire US Attorneys inbetween terms, not at the end of their terms. Even Republican Senators overturned that. With the Rich pardon, many Democrats were outraged and there were hearings and an investigation(I know that has been forgotten), And Clinton waived Executive privelege to testify before Congress in that case. The Libby case was not a pardon at all(those pesky facts), a commuting of his sentence was what GW did. These were federal charges by a federal investigator that were thrown out the window. He was convicted of perjury-lying to federal investigators(the Rich case was IRS). As Bush changes the checks and balances of government, keep in mind that it changes for ALL future presidents. I think that is wrong for any president.

Clinton fire 92 U.S. Attorneys in a clean sweep at the beginning of his administration to allow the new Attorney General to bring in a new Justice Department and then takes a hands off approach to the whole Justice Department to maintain prosecutorial integrity. Bush picks out 11 U.S. Attorneys who refuse to allow politics to come before prosecutorial ethics and fires them for not using their offices to advance Republican agendas. Bush does not pardon Libby but commutes his sentence. Bush says therefore that Libby is in fact guilty (after being found guilty by a Republican Judge and prosecuted by a Republican picked counsel) but he doesn't want him to do the jail time that anyone else convicted of the same crime would do. Clinton pardons Rich which means he is still guilty of the crime, he is just forgiven for it. Bush passes CAFTA in an effort to expand NAFTA which was widely criticized by liberals when introduced, and has proven to be a policy that is destructive to the U.S. Job market and wages. Clinton started the ball rolling, Bush made it much much worse. Unemployment steady at 4.5% for both administrations but wages are stagnant under Bush and the quality of the employment has dropped preciptously, especially in the Middle Class employment sectors. Clinton awards no-bid contracts to Halliburton, among other companies, but has no personal connection to the company and allows other companies in. Bush awards no-bid contracts to Halliburton for every concession and service in Iraq that it will take when Cheney's job right before becoming VP was CEO of Halliburton. Halliburton proceeds to run amok without oversight and grossly overcharges and underpeforms on all services it provides or subcontracts out. Bush and Kerry both get C's at Yale which was the standard for most student in the sixties as grade inflation had not yet become fashionable at most universities. Bush proceeds to show poor performance, poor judgment and no ability to think on his feet in every private sector job (gotten for him by his father) he takes afterwards and similar poor performance, poor judgment and no ability to think on his feet in his political life up to the present. Clinton actually take pre-emptive measure against Bin Laden by attacking him with cruise missles, narrowly missing him and destroying his traning camp in Afghanistan. Republicans accuse Clinton of trying to distract the U.S. from their impeachment proceedings and pressure him to stop pursuing him. Bush ignores attacks on U.S. Embassys and the U.S.S. Cole by Al Quaeda. After 9/11 Bush's policy in Afgahnistan allows Bin Laden to slip away into hiding most likley to never be seen again, which emboldens muslim extremist and makes Bin Laden a legend. Bush then uses 9/11 and bogus WMD stories to scare Americans and strong arm congress into a poorly thought out invasion Iraq. Bush and his team sell it as a short war that will likley pay for itself. Five years later the U.S. is still mired in Iraq with no way out that isn't a disaster. Clinton was caught cheating on his wife but otherwise there is no other real scandals that come out of his adminstration, even with a Republican congress that is out to get him doing their best to drum something up. Clinton appoints competent, skilled administrators to key posts in government without reagrds to their political affiliation or views. Bush, his administration and his cronies in the Republican controlled congress are mired in scandal on top of scandal, with major Republican congressmen going to jail for bribery, being caught propositioning teenage boys, etc. The people appointed by President Bush to key positions are constantlly exposed as incompetent neo-con ideolouges, who have no connection to reality and no talent for their jobs. The actual whitehouse is so shrouded in secrecy, misdirection and outright lies that Nixon looks honest in comparison. Clinton takes a deferment on the draft to pursue a Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford. Bush get bumped to the top of the list of 4000 applicants for the Texas Air Guard so he won't have to go to Vietnam. Cheney takes six deferments because in his words "he had other priorities".
