Isnt the call for transparency REFRESHING?

Obama is basically making his campaign an open book. He told us about his life; all of it, good and bad. He's frank about his opinions. He's revealing his tax returns. He sponsored the Transparency and Integrity in Earmarks Act which passed in 1/07. He introduced amendments for Restricting No Bid Contracts He led in the drafting of the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act. How transparent is his opponent?

Public Comments

  1. Hillary is as transparent as a black hole, so Obama being willing to be open and honest, while refreshing, may be a little naive when fighting someone like Hillary.
  2. His opponent is not transparent at all, which is why she is clearly losing the large fan base she once had. Obama haters like to bash him for things in his past. The thing that everyone overlooks is that he exposed his past himself, and was very candid about it in his book. People would rather vote for a name than vote for honesty. It's much easier to be pompous...... I love that Obama is so transparent. If only we could apply this transparency to our everyday lives.....
  3. Very True. Although I don't subscribe to voting for anyone based on race or gender no matter what the position may be. However do take note as to all the "white Male" comments. They seem to stand up and outright admit that they are biggots. Reflecting the insecurity and shallowness that the world has known for years. History has proven that rape, murder, theft, etc has been spearheaded by those same insecure, criminal individuals. Society attitudes can be so sad at these times.
  4. When you ask him about his position on Immigration he says: Change! Economy he says: Change! Abortion he says: Change! Terrorism he says: Change! His underwear he says: Change! I've heard his blathering so often on TV that when he runs an ad there I say CHANGE!
  5. yes, imagine that--a candidate who is actually open, honest, and not afraid to divulge details that all public servants should. refreshing indeed! viva la Obama!
  6. It's amazing really! Kind of scary for those in Washington right now! I don't know why no one chooses to highlight this fact. Barack Obama and Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) passed a law to create a Google-like search engine to allow regular people to track federal grants, contracts, earmarks, and loans online. The Chicago Sun-Times wrote, “It would enable the public to see where federal money goes and how it is spent. It’s a brilliant idea.” That's pretty cool!
