- I have no clue what your point is, but why do you call him "Dr"? His PhD is honorary and he is not a medical doctor.
- Because more qualified candidates applied. Because a University of Phoenix degree isn't very valuable to the academic world. A university of Purdue's caliber would want to hire someone with adequate education. Because he included an honorary doctorate as though it's relevant to anything. (Hint: An honorary doctorate does not imply anything about a person's abilities.)
