When replying to a government solicitation is it okay to ask what the previous years budget was?
We are submitting a proposal for a government contract, through FedBizOpps. Due to the nature of the project, it is very probable that the same project was done in previous years. When asking the contracting officer our questions, is it appropriate to ask what the budget was for the project the previous year? Or is there anywhere to find this information?
Public Comments
- It is appropriate to ask what the amount of the contract was in previous years. This is public information unless it is classified work. You my be able to find the information in agency budgets for previous years, but I have no idea where.
