Where can I apply to get a government fuel contract for an airport?

- If you have a specific airport in mind, go to the Airport Authority website (usually a different site than the airport's main site, which will have information on flights, etc. instead of contracts). They should have a Contracting or Procurement section. As an example, if you go to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority procurement page, http://www.metwashairports.com, and go to "Business Information" and then "Contracting Opportunities" you'll find a page with procurement information for that Airport Authority. The individual Request for Proposals will have information about where and when the bid is due and what is required, as well as contact information should you have any questions. If you're just looking for airport fuel contracts in general, searching all the airport authority websites for new opportunities could be very time-consuming. There are a lot of services out there that will collect contracting opportunities for you and notify you of them. One such service is www.onvia.com (disclaimer: I work for them). Most of all, remember that most government contractors lose more contracts than they win. So if you lose your first bid, don't be discouraged, just learn from your mistakes and try again! Good luck!
