what exactly is meant by government contract pricing and how does a comapny offer it?

As a small company a prospective buyer has inquired about governmant contract pricing. I don't know what it is or how it works.

  1. It sounds like they're asking whether you're on a GSA Schedule - which is basically a contract you negotiate with the General Services Administration (GSA) listing the prices for your products/services that the federal government has agreed to pay should they choose to purchase them. If you're a subcontractor, it's not critical that you're on a GSA schedule in order to do business with the govt, but if you're intending to sell to the govt directly, it's something you need to seriously consider. You can get more information on GSA Schedules at www.gsa.gov
