god bless this man I saw this a week ago. talk about a straight shooter but he is the old PM, there is a new one now.
All I have to say is: all ideas should be tolerated but none should be given automatic acceptance.
For a start the Prme Minister of Aus is Kevin Rudd and yes if you come to Australia live as Australians its not Iran there if you don't like it go back to where you came from.
i am a Muslim and this is what i think if a Muslim or any other is not pleased with the law of the land he lives in he may leave. if Muslim countries don't have sharia law why should other countries specially when the majority of their civilians are non Muslims. Muslims that want sharia law in England are a joke in my opinion , why don't they go back to their homelands and fight for sharia law their ? they never will because they know if they do them and their families will just disappear
I agree with Mr. Howard's views on the immigration issues, especially those regarding from the Middle East since that is where the majority of Islamic terrorists come from.
Christian nation argument there too eh? I thought it was an island used as a prison, stolen from its original inhibitors, the aboriginals (who by the way are still getting some rather crappy treatment to this day) And Sharia law is actually more than just criminal law; only a small part is that. Majority of it is about marriage, raising children, dealing with small arguments i.e. financial matters etc. Its more of a "guide to life" really. And it isnt as if they would have it imposed on everyone, it would be a religious tribunal available to those who wish to seek it out or otherwise go to civil courts. And even then it wouldnt be handing out stoning sentences but most likely handling divorce cases. We had such religious tribunals here in Ontario, Canada but we got rid of them out of rights concerns. I just thought I'd clarify some points but I am against its implementation even as a tribunal in a democratic secular country because well: one law for everyone.

i agree with Mr. Pasha if Muslims feel un comfortable because of the way of life others live in the west or east or where ever no one is forcing them to stay they can simply go back to their home lands and live the life they seek or they can shut up and stop complaining about everything

A lot of diseases spread when they were forced to use water from sources that were infected by new domestic animals the white men had brought into the land By wrecking the social system and shooting aborigines just for fun the population decreased dramatically. In 1911 the continuity of the race was in great danger. In 1918 it passed into law that half-caste children had to be taken away from their parents and should be risen by foster parents or in reserves --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No ( catholic&proud of it ) im not an american, i read that it took 20millions native Indians to built the States.
First of all John Howard is not the Prime Minister anymore he lost the election to Kevin Rudd, a lot better Prime Minister, we are not an Island of convicts, Johnny still thinks he is the Prime Minister, but he is not But one thing I can say when he said Immigrants, not Australians must adapt, this is true, all his statement is true, you come to Australia to live here accept our lifestyle Edit: Lily M what about America, how many Indians were killed when white man came and then what did they do to the stolen Africans, if you are an American check out your own history
