What is a service contract?
The major criticism of service contracts is: a.) poor service from repair companies. b.) limited coverage of repairs. c.) weak government regulation of service contract companies. or d.) high costs and a low chance of need. I could really, really use help with this.

- All of those answers could be correct but I think that D is the best answer. The reason that service contracts are a rip off is that the likely hood of the buyer ever using the contract is minimal. Say the service contract is for a TV and is for 3 years. How many TVs go bad in the first 3 years, hardly any. If you read the fine print, the contract is probably void if you drop the unit or spill anything on it.
