  1. Building contractors are okay with records, from what I know, always "double check" every thing with them, as the paper work will display the conditions as it relates to misdemeanors. Do not play with the federal government in the wrong way, they are very strict in federal court. The federal rules do not say anything that I know of. I am an paralegal and did a lot of research on the topic. THe laws are called in short FRAP. Just be careful, as its a felony to misuse the funds. And income made from felony acts is called money laundry. Therefore, you can get the perjury, and money laundry counts, as each act is separate deal. The fed requires that you keep the books for a number of years, as this will be on the topic contract, and/or paperwork. ( aske this and all notions in this writing with the people who do the topic contracts. Always deliver the topic materials and labor in accord with the specific contract, unless its spelled out otherwise. Also, be careful if you get a federal loan, they get real pissed off if you screw up. Nonetheless, the federal system is a good one to work in. Uncle Same is a very nice guy, if you do not piss him off. Always double check all of the notions that you are asking. I am a paralegal and did a lot of reasearch on the topic, its called FRAP the federal rules on allocation of federal money.
