Should we privatize the military?

We have all seen War Inc. The Military is already used to fight wars for the private sector. Since the government has never been able to balance a budget anyways, should we just take that military budget and give it to various corporations that want to fund and invest in the military? I know that this sounds kind of out there, but seriously...it appears that they can't do anything right. I am not saying that businesses are operated perfectly but how often does Microsoft post all of their secret locations and plans on their website by mistake? Additionally, this would create competetion and they would want to do a good job in order to keep their contract with the US gov't. Think about it... Mike F, they actually are paid like 10X more...lol! My point is that they are wasting money (1K for toilet seats) and still being incompetent and wasteful. What makes you think that they would be any worse if they were privatized? They kind of released the location of every single nuke that we have on the internet and left it up for the month. That is a security threat and some severe incompetence. What makes you think that they would be any worse if they were privatized? 1. You spend way too much time watching TV and on the internet.
  2. No. The USA should break the Geneva Convention Treaty, and fight wars the way they should be fought. They could easily put out the lights of the enemy. Doing so would save Time, Money , and LIVES. Why handicap your military? That is stupid!
  3. yea, I dont see that being able to work. Does that mean that soldiers would be able to sue when they get mal-treated? The military is run by the government for a myriad of reasons...
  4. Black Water proved that it costs tax payers twice as much to employ a private army.
  5. Yeah lets have a bunch of different private military organizations competing with each other for dominance..... Sounds like a recipe for civil war to me.
  6. No. How well did that work out for Rome?
  7. what if country offers more money for the PMC companies to overthrown their current government...
  8. Absolutely not! A wealthy lot would employ them and pay them enough to actually get them to turn their guns on citizens when the government instituted military isn't paid nearly enough for the jobs they currently do...much less hauling their friends, neighbors and loved ones off to lockdown.
