Do Republicans realize how the rich really get rich?

If you would put your library copies of rich people's autobiographies and Forbes, you would realize many of these rich people are LYING. Some of these inventors commonly say they made a mistake that developed a popular product. I think that's what the lawyers told them. Most rich people are thieves or criminals. There, I said it. I hate to say it. Most organized crime networks in various cities are responsible for funding many of the restaurants and businesses you go to. Just look at the Wire and The Sopranos. It's not some guy that worked at GM his whole life, took his savings out of a shoe box and started Starbucks! Bill Gates stole the operating system software from Steve Jobs. This guy that started a successful chicken tenders joint blatantly stole his secret sauce from other less established, smaller businesses. Many successful businesses use their political connections to get lucrative government contracts. Some of the people that had ventures in Iraq had no previous experience doing what they were contracted to do. I admit, they hustled and made it work, but often times the results were disastrous. However, they would not have gotten in the door without those contacts. I feel sorry for many of the people on this board that read these interviews and biographies of rich people and believe they all worked hard and were smarter. If you guys actually knew rich people, they're a lot like ancient kings and warlords; they commission writers to rewrite history and portray them almost like saints or martyrs who started out from the absolute bottom and became a success. Who buys that? Seriously, guys, stop supporting the pyramid scheme scam and start demanding a better life. You don't have to live in Beverly Hills, but is it really too much to ask for affordable health insurance, a decent job with decent conditions, a safe neighborhood and a proper education for your children?

So what's your point? Tell me this, (if you have a job that is), did your boss get where he or she is today without stepping on some toes? I doubt it. He or she either stepped on someone else or kissed a lot of you know what. Either way, they did what they had to do to make it. Just because we are conservatives (not Republican) does not mean that we don't understand the world. In fact, we understand it better than do most liberals. We know that the best way to help America is to help the rich get richer...because they will keep investing money to get richer still. And with those investments, come jobs for the rest of us.
Bill Gates bought an unused operating system and turned it into something useful and there for a gild mine. If he is your example then your whole thesis is wrong. Back to the drawing board with you and next time do better research.
You sure used a lot of electricity to arrive at a list of flawed conclusions. But I am not going to waste much of it in saying you are DEAD WRONG. I am not a Repub.

They also get corporate welfare, so Republicans can stop with that "welfare" scandal they use to make Democrats and low income citizens look bad.
That chip on your shoulder is looking mighty greasy buddy. Of course we all want these things, but even lifes necessities aren't handed to us on a plate. Even if they were, there'd be inevitable consequential drawbacks somewhere along the line. If you regulate a company in one branch of employment, it'll simply raise prices in another. This principle applies here. As a sidenote, I'd like to hear what your definition of Republicanism is. I need a good laugh!
You're simply a dope. "Rich" people get rich by SERVING OTHERS. Those who own "rental property" SERVE OTHERS by providing quality, affordable housing. Those who own "businesses" SERVE OTHERS by providing quality, competitively priced goods and services. Those who own "businesses" SERVE OTHERS by hiring those who are willing to work for some one else. Those who "invest" SERVE OTHERS by providing the capital businesses need to EXPAND and HIRE and GROW (see above). Tell me.... WHAT GOOD comes from your hatred of "rich" people? Better yet... WHY aren't you RICH? You live in the greatest, freest, most opportunity-rich nation on earth. What say you?

You're an idiot. Rich people got that way through sound investments and a knack for making money. The government is trying to punish people that have made their money honestly by "distributing the wealth". I am not rich, but what money I do have was made through honest hard work. My husband and I have worked for 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to run a small business. We have had this business for more than 30 years. I don't like the government stealing my hard earned money to give it to the lazy bums that refuse to support themselves. All they want is for someone else to take care of them.
So my Aunt, who started out living in a trailer on a golf course while going to school and working 3 jobs, finally scores a career in which she's been with for 30 years and makes 300 grand a year,and has made extra money in real estate over the same amount of time, has to have her wealth distributed to someone who wouldn't lift a finger when it comes to work? You are basically saying, the majority of upper class people like my aunt who earned their money honestly, have to be classified with those few you just named and suffer for it?

The rich get richer by borrowing money. Borrowed money is tax free. It is cheaper to pay interest than to pay taxes on lots of money, so big business owners borrow up to their eyeballs, stick millions of dollars in their pockets, and let their business profits pay the interest. This is also how they "hide" their money to avoid paying taxes. It's no secret.
wow. two complete idiots on this page and several very confused people who just *know* they should disagree. it's insane. these people keep defending the criminals. it's gotta be something in the air, the water, or the food supply, it's a mental illness. guy says, they get rich by serving people! incredible. i've worked for several very wealthy people. i'm talking 20 million, plus. worked with them very closely. they've cooked me dinner, gone on vacations together. know them very well. serving people? not! affordable housing? right. more like buy a place and triple the rent on it. Tax the rich, feed the poor, til there are no rich no more!
