Obama has done some underhanded things since becoming president. One is no federal contracts for non Union?

workers via executive order. Another is taking the census away from the department of commerce, the way things are going with him it's to perform a cheated census which will cheat for democrats benefit. There is the card check thing he is for which will allow Unions to intimidate those who don't pro Union. I know there are some other highly dishonest moves, I mean actual manipulation to give democrats an advantage, what can you add? Only what Obama has ALREADY DONE. Democrats out there, it's what he has done, and you know if Bush did anything like these things you would have been howling. Republicans, no forecasts please, only what has been done or attempted like this porkulus package that pays off democrat supporters in a way that is probably technically illegal. It's worse than anything Blago tried anyway. I'm an independent, and I actually thought of voting Obama for a while because I don't like McCain at all, but I just didn't vote in stead because Obama showed me something in the lies he was telling. I wish more of us had learned without having to be run over by the Obama train, to finally get it. Piggy Pie, YES, that is one more thing. I don't think the whole Gitmo thing was honest for an instant. Now his dishonest campaigning has us in a stupid pickle, because he has to back it up. I agree DC Maximus, there could be a lot of court challenges. The thing about democrats is that any democrat judge will probably support the democrat side, the only law most of them understand is party loyalty. Kinkade0003 true enough, there is a whole slew of underhanded crap in that bill, and anyone who votes for it should be over with any voters who's not a lunatic level democrat. Not a regular democrat with a brain, but the Moveon.nutbars. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/02/09/gop-sounds-alarm-obama-decision-census-white-house/ http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2009/02/obama_sends_lab.html http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/01/acorn_eligible_for_billions_fr.html

  1. He will prove to be the worst thing that ever happened to us. Vote third party they are not corrupt yet.
  2. not a question....next
  3. you are paranoid
  4. The next thing they do is take away your guns, your hard earned money, and your Bible.
  5. It's sickening how republicans believe in democracy but not in the work place. Why are republicans constantly trying to steal food off of the working classes table? Impeach BO: the truth hurts doesn't it?
  6. The only thing I can add is that Obama is a Dummy!!!
  7. That is what is meant by targeted.....
  8. Yeah, what a shame that those damn middle class folks might actually get jobs. There should only be no-bid contracts to companies owned or controlled by those in the White House! With absolutely no accountability or itemizing or need to show that they are providing what is being paid for. That's the above board fair way to do it.
  9. we will crate many new projects like the "big dig" in boston. so much for transparency!!
  10. Just about every President does these sorts of things, not the actual things you listed, but EO's to circumvent certain processes. For Instance, within one month of Bush taking office in 2001 he bombed Iraqi satellite and communcations installations. There are lots of things that Presidents do.
  11. He lied about CHANGE
  12. most non-union companies hire illegal aliens. I think moving the Census away from the Commerce department is a good thing, and rather innocuous at worst.
  13. It still hurts so much doesn't it? Haha. all aboard: So the current state of the US, as a result of the last 8 years, is okay with you? You'll need to start providing some arguments backed-up by fact before you can consider anything Obama has done (in 3 weeks) with Dubya.
  14. Pretty scary isn't it - you forgot Gitmo. And this is only after a few weeks in office - imagine what our beautiful country will look like after 4 years!
  15. I'm going to ask, link please.
  16. Obama is OWNED by the Chicago Mob. That's one reason he is so Corrupt.
  17. I believe that the executive order that prohibits federal contracts being awarded to non-union shops is unconstitutional. Watch for it to be litigated.
  18. No federal contracts for non-union workers is a terrible idea. Can you imagine something needing to be built in a hurry but the union is on strike for higher pay so much for keeping government costs down. There are so many non unionized businesses that have better quality products and better work ethics than unionized labor. That is one of the worst ideas to come from Obama yet.
  19. Considering just how wholly corrupt ACORN is, I imagine paying them off with 4 Billion dollars is a step towards clinching the 2012 vote in his favor.
  20. He will piss off all but the most ignorant of Americans before he ever hits year 2. Those who aren't pissed yet either fit into the above category, they aren't paying attention or they are holding out with their last little bit of futile "hope".
  21. I can add a link to the Executive Order. It is applicable to Federal, large-scale construction projects, contracts over $25 million. The purpose is to allow a project labor agreement to coordinate the overall work efforts. I fail to see how this is a bad thing considering that the rescinded EOs did not allow for any say by the agency authorizing the project to be able to do anything about coordination and overrun problems when dealing with several different and dependent entities. This is one of the reasons for budget overruns and missed target dates that end up cosing the taxpayer much more to complete projects. What's wrong with more efficient projects that save the taxpayers money? Or with workers knowing their rights? --> Executive Order: Use of Project Labor Agreements for Federal Construction Projects http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/ExecutiveOrderUseofProjectLaborAgreementsforFederalConstructionProjects/ These are the two prior Executive Orders rescinded by the new EO: http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=2001_register&docid=fr22fe01-112.pdf http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=2001_register&docid=fr11ap01-135.pdf --> Executive Order -- Economy in Government Contracting This EO prevents unions from charging costs associated with union activities to federal contracts. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/ExecutiveOrderUseofProjectLaborAgreementsforFederalConstructionProjects/ --> Executive Order -- Notificiation of Employee Rights Under Federal Labor Laws http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/notificiation_of_employee_rights_under_federal_labor_laws/ I agree that the census situation demands close and careful attention. However, there is a difference between: (1) the head of the census reporting to the White House instead of the Commerce Secretary and (2) the White House having oversight into the process. Before jumping to conclusions about the first, maybe give some consideration to the second point... and also why oversight is a big deal now, but not for the previous administration or even Clinton's administration where the Commerce Secretary had previously been the head of the DNC. Congressional Quarterly updated the story, noting, "The White House took a small step back from what the senior official told CQ, releasing a statement late Thursday that couched the relationship between the Census Bureau director and the West Wing as one in which the director would work with the high-level officials rather than report directly to them." "According to several reports, Gregg, as chairman of the Senate appropriations subcommittee that oversees the Commerce Department, opposed a 1999 request by President Bill Clinton for emergency funds for the 2000 census. In 1995, he voted in committee and on the floor for a 1995 GOP budget that would have eliminated the Commerce Department." Wow... a Commerce Secretary who was in favor of eliminating the Commerce Department. Now that's interesting! Don't know about you, but I'm wondering why Gregg is such a good choice for the position. http://www.unionleader.com/article.aspx?articleId=1881b157-9930-4844-9ded-60c94875fe08&headline=Gregg+mum+on+Census+Bureau
