Is it just me or is this government determined to make the UK the gambling capital of the world? It started with the lottery once a week, now we have now what seems a hundred different versions of it, we have scratchcards, again hundreds of different ones. Betting shops now look more like normal shops, with plain glass windows to try and hook more people. We have online gambling, turn on the tv after midnight and its all just gambling shows. Listen to any commercial radio station and they are playing "games" like reverse auctions. They want to build casinos everywhere and now they have passed a new gambling act, so now gambling firms can advertise on tv among other things. Shouldnt the government try and protect the most vulnerable people in society? not make it even more easier to get hooked on gambling, look what they have done with alcohol, record levels of alcohol abuse. Pathetic, this government only cares about one thing, money, forget future problems.

i want to get a car seized by the government,but they all want me to pay extra for nothing? I know you can get cars real cheap at the police auctions and stuff.I've looked for info online but all of the sites want me to register and pay them a monthly fee just to look at what they have.WTF!Don't they take enough of our money.
Should a Cell Phone Dealer Be Responsible For Following Corporate Direction? How Not to Pay Your City Cell Phone Tax MetroPCS in the Bay Area has found a way around paying their fair share of cell phone taxes. Actually they have found a way to save San Franciscan's money. Depending on how you look at it. I imagine that MetroPCS would like you to think that it is on your behalf. When I signed up for my MetroPCS phone I gave them my real name, number address etc. I got locked out of Voicemail and was prompted to give my address. This led me to find out that the address they had on file and the one I gave them were not the same. I went into a corporate store and received a printout which included my recorded address. I went back to the store where I bought my phone and inquired... We have asked more than 4 store managers and one corporate store why the address We gave them was not the address they had on file and we were told the same thing in each store. "San Francisco tax is too expensive"..Save money..good for the customer etc. These stores offer you a chance to "save money" by eliminating a paper bill being mailed to you. In this way the customer can save as much as $3.50 or more each month by having their bill viewed online. But where do the savings come from? Less Tax of course! But wait I do pay a monthly 911 tax of about 80 cents which needs to be collected by San Francisco so I heard. It is curious that I pay a city tax on a phone that is registered out of the city. To be fair it's a good price point strategy for MetroPCS since their product (which is primarily targeting those with limited or no credit, terrorists and drug dealers) requires up to 10% tax to be collected in California which prices the product at over $50. By eliminating the higher cell tax Metropcs users in San Francisco and Daly City pay around $49 a month. Have MetroPCS and it's 40 independent dealers in San Francisco and Daly City conspired to defraud or inhibit with the collection of it's cell phone tax? Are they failing to keep accurate customer records which could be helpful in approved police investigations? Is this the tip of a larger pattern and practice? Los Angeles taxes their local customers 10%. quit claim deed from government? i'm interested in an auction being conducted by the usda. it is a farm with a burned down house on it... 0 value. was told by the rep. the transfer of ownership will be quit claim deed. was also told he knows nothing more about the farm than they've had possession of it for approx. 1 year. the farm house burned down in the early 1990's. i ran thru an online title search co. and the title is in fact in the usda's name. however, is it possible that the previous ownwer could have either liens/debt still on the property and/or any (future)interest in it? any/all advice will be greatly appreciated! thanks. have a good one.

JIFFY360 may not get launched on 28th May? New Delhi : Jiffy360.com India's biggest upcoming online IT mall may again get delayed due to strong protests from union of small IT product dealers & sudden fall in prices of computers this will be the fourth time this year that they failed to launch on a decided date. Jiffy360 is in government scanner due to complaints from small dealers who doubted that they are artificially trying to reduce prices to boost there sales. Investors are already facing music since they have lost around Rs 15.60 crore due to regular delays though company is sure to hit break even this year itself. Jiffy360 is product of Exhilway Retail which may go public this year raising around Rs 600 crore to finance there mega expansion plans. In a 76-page affidavit supporting the arrest of Mr. Blagojevich, a Federal Bureau of Investigation agent called Mr. Rezko a "principal fundraiser" for Mr. Blagojevich and said the convicted developer is cooperating in the case against the Democratic governor. Rezko has proffered [information] with the government in hopes of receiving a recommendation from the government for a reduced sentence," the affidavit says. On Thursday, the federal judge in Mr. Rezko's case abruptly suspended his sentencing proceedings.
